In rare cases you could have an oversensitive reaction to one or more of the ingredients of this formula. As with all cosmetics this is always a possibility. The best option is to then reduce consumption. Should discomfort continue, the best option is to cease using the product and to consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Properties:
As we age, both the quality and the quantity of the tissue that provides firmness (collagen) and elasticity (elastin) decrease. The result is that skin becomes looser and stiff. Over the years, the signs of aging increase. An aging skin is vulnerable, flaccid (due to the loss of elasticity) and dry.

These characteristics are the result of the following processes:
-     The epidermis becomes increasingly thin
-     The dermis undergoes changes:
      * The blood vessels in the skin decrease
      * The connective (collagen) and elastin tissues decrease
      * The number of sebaceous glands decreases (as does their
working). This results in a dry skin.
      * The aging skin develops wrinkles and the archetypal
“cigarette paper” look: countless tiny, shallow wrinkles that
disappear when the skin is stretched slightly.

Wrinkles occur naturally when the skin ages normally. As middle-age approaches, less collagen and elastin is created. When the skin endures a great deal of exposure to sunlight, elastin is further degraded. When this degradation exceeds creation, the skin will ultimately become more flaccid, which leads to wrinkles.

Not all wrinkles are identical. They can be roughly divided into three categories.
1. Fine wrinkles – these are caused by the decrease of elastin tissue in the skin. When skin is very lightly stretched between two fingers, the wrinkles disappear.
2. Deep wrinkles, which are really furrows and pleats.
3. Laugh lines – these are not caused by the skin becoming flaccid, but by conscious or unconscious tightening of the facial muscles.

WRINKLES?

Eating healthily is essential, because healthy food provides anti-oxidants that counter the free radicals. Free radicals play a significant role in the skin aging process. They are aggressive molecules that damage skin cells and thus also the tissue that ensures the skin remains firm and elastic.

Quitting smoking is likewise good for your skin because smoking can cause elastin and collagen to break down, resulting in the premature appearance of wrinkles.

Ultraviolet radiation contained in sunlight and produced in sun-beds also accelerates the aging process. One must learn to tan sensibly.  Use a nurturing product that will combat free radicals, protect your skin from sunlight, prevent your skin from dehydrating and stimulate the skin  - this is why a good sun-block is of utmost importance when it comes to slowing down the development of wrinkles.

With respect to this, Pannoc has developed Pannobase + Retinol for you.

Pannobase + Retinol is very well-suited to less supple skin with visible signs of aging, but can also be used on normal skin in order to restrict the formation of wrinkles (prevention). Pannobase + Retinol can also be used as a moisturiser when the skin is dehydrated.

Pannobase + Retinol contains an anti-oxidant complex that combats free radicals. The vitamin C stimulates collagen production, which gives skin a younger, firmer and smoother appearance. Vitamin E moisturises and increases the elasticity and the softness of the skin, while D-Panthenol or provitamin B5, which becomes vitamin B5 in the skin, helps to repair skin.
Retinol is added as a supplement. Retinol is primarily employed to deal with the symptoms of aging skin. Retinol or Vitamin A considerably accelerates the skin regeneration process. It is also suitable for treating (extremely) fine wrinkles.
Pannobase + Retinol further contains moisture-retaining components, which ensure that the skin retains moisture under all conditions, without blocking and dehydrating the skin.  Bisabolol assists in preventing possible irritation while the base salve itself ensures that the entire formula really penetrates into the skin.

WHEN?

It is difficult to advise with respect to the age at which a person should start to use a richer and more nurturing product. It all depends on your skin-type (the drier the skin, the more sensitive it is too dehydration and wrinkles) and your lifestyle (copious use of soaps and detergents, environment, excess sun-tanning and bathing). Some people are confronted with aging skin earlier than others. But it is best to deal with the problem early on.

Use:
Pannobase + Retinol is easily absorbed by the skin and can be applied both in the evening and morning.
Distribute the cream across your whole face using your fingertips. Don’t forget your neck and the area behind your ears.
