Cremor Hydrophilicus Anionicus is a cream base formulated as an oil-in-water (O/W) emulsion with an anionic emulsifying system.

Properties
The formulation contains an aqueous continuous phase and glycerin as a humectant, instead of propylene glycol. This ensures good hydration and improved skin tolerability. The cream is water-washable and forms a standard hydrophilic base.

  • Good spreadability and a light skin feel
  • Moisturizing effect due to the aqueous phase and glycerin
  • Broad applicability as a carrier for active ingredients
  • Good washability

Therapeutic application
Suitable for general dermatological preparations, applications where a hydrophilic, skin-friendly base is desired, and for processing phenolic components (such as resorcinol and hydroquinone). It can be used as an alternative to buffered cetomacrogol cream when phenolic substances are processed.
