Lanae Alcoholum Unguentum - Wool fat ointment

Lanae Alcoholum Unguentum Pannoc (formerly Paneucerine) is a semi-solid dermatological dosage form formulated as a lipophilic (fatty) ointment base. The formulation contains wool fat alcohols, which ensure good affinity with the skin.

Properties
‍The ointment consists of a continuous fatty phase with a distinctly greasy yet easily spreadable character. Wool fat alcohols give the base a high absorption capacity for both water and active ingredients.
